All about your baggage

All you need to know about baggage prior to your arrival at the airport, in order to be prepared for the standard procedures which regulate baggage transport: check-in, carry-on items, weight limits, excess baggage fees and handling of special baggage.

 A new policy for baggage transportation on Alitalia flights will start as of September 1, 2010. It applies on baggage allowance, extra-baggage charge, special baggage and pets travelling with you. Read more. 

Hand baggage

Since July 1st, all Alitalia passengers are allowed to carry only 1 piece of hand luggage onboard which must not exceed 8 kgs weight, instead of 5 kgs.
